Things soon to be an ancient memory

I have spent years walking past this row of payphones and never paid attention to them until I snapped this photo. I think it suddenly hit me that payphones are like the dinosaurs. They're extinct. I did try one and there was a dial tone. How did we survive before the cellphone?
