I liked the way this tree/bush/leaves formed an arched right there in the middle of the sidewalk. It was interesting framing. Not sure if it's legal to allow your shrubbery to grow all willy nilly free, but whoever is responsible for this sure has.

Dirty Daisy

Ok, for all I know this isn't a daisy. I'm not sure what kind of flower this is actually. I just thought it was pretty. I had almost forgotten that I owned a point and shoot camera. I've been lugging my DSLR around all these weeks. I took this with my 3 year old Sony Cybershot. I played with the color just a teeny tiny bit in Lightroom. I wish I could have figured out how to get rid of the dirt on the flower. It's buggin' me.

Christmas Candy

Today I decided to not be afraid of using an external flash and hooked it up to my camera. The few times I've used the built in flash on my Canon 50D the pictures come out looking crazy and washed out. I've been reading a lot of photo sites lately about techniques for using an external flash and decided to bite the bullet.

Voila!

Christmas candy is still edible two months later, right?
