Pretty Things Grow On the Plantation

I don't remember if I mentioned it earlier, but I've had to retake my statistics class (yeah, the one I took last summer). Apparently, my "D" wasn't good enough for HNU and they wouldn't allow it to transfer. So, I've been stuck taking the class again this semester. I need at least a "C" for the class to transfer and for me to graduate and be done with this stage of the higher education.

I swear, if I don't pass this class this time I'm going to have to get real ugly and start cursing at someone. I can't take it a third time.

So I finally decided to purchase the Canon 100mm macro lens that I have seriously been wanting for months and months now. I have been in love with this lens since I first saw it last year. I had to have it, but kept saying I would wait. I couldn't wait anymore. I ordered it yesterday from Amazon and it arrived today. This was the first thing I shot with it. I'm going to be on a macro shooting roll this weekend. Cannot wait.

I'm pretty sure if I was willing to get closer I would have discovered teeth. Nifty-Fifty in Green

I finally went out and purchased the Canon 50mm f1.8 lens. It's a $100 lens that everyone raves about. It's supposed to really great in low light and for shooting portraits. We got home late and I didn't have much time to play with it before the sun went down. I snapped this photo of one of CraigiePoo's plants. I think they lens will take some getting used to. It makes a lot of noise when it's trying to focus. I'm really hoping that's just the design of the lens and not that this particular lens is defective. I hate having to return stuff.
