Purple Haze

OK, I really have no idea what I did with this photo. I just started playing around with the controls in Adobe Lightroom 2 and end up turning what was a pink flower into this funky purple creation you see before you.

Randomly touching buttons isn't always a bad thing. ((^_~))

Pink Lily

Stargazer Lilies are my absolute favorite flowers. I think they are so beautiful and smell awesome. I'm not sure if this is a stargazer, but I do know it's a lily. I finally pulled out my tripod and mounted my Canon 50D onto it with the 100mm macro lens. I rarely shoot in manual focus, but I had to turn off the auto focus to get in real tight. I think I really like this picture. I may have it printed. We've got so much wall space in our new place it's time to put some art on the walls.

Seriously, who needs this stuff in the real world?

I don't remember if I mentioned it earlier, but I've had to retake my statistics class (yeah, the one I took last summer). Apparently, my "D" wasn't good enough for HNU and they wouldn't allow it to transfer. So, I've been stuck taking the class again this semester. I need at least a "C" for the class to transfer and for me to graduate and be done with this stage of the higher education.

I swear, if I don't pass this class this time I'm going to have to get real ugly and start cursing at someone. I can't take it a third time.

More Edamame and a Macro lens

So I finally decided to purchase the Canon 100mm macro lens that I have seriously been wanting for months and months now. I have been in love with this lens since I first saw it last year. I had to have it, but kept saying I would wait. I couldn't wait anymore. I ordered it yesterday from Amazon and it arrived today. This was the first thing I shot with it. I'm going to be on a macro shooting roll this weekend. Cannot wait.
